I was down in KL for the past 3 days.. A very short trip. Main reason I was there is to collect back my Canon 17-85mm lens. It has a malfunctioned power diaghrapm and it costs me RM198 to repair it. Actually, the part itself is not that expensive ; RM78. But the service charge is RM120! haha.. oh well, but at least they serviced the entire lens as a whole instead of just that one part. It focuses smoother and the lens barrel is tighter now.

Anyway, that’s the main part. Another reason is to look f0r my friends who are working in KL. It’s still very hard to meet up with people there. The distance, transportation and timing wise. Some are just too busy with work. Pity them.. No breaks on a weekend. I managed to meet up with Yvonne and delicia on Friday for lunch. Then at night, with yvonne (again), yee hui and sek hee at the Curve. Went to a place called ‘Laundry’. haha.. Imagine saying, “I’m going to Laundry now”..  I also bumped into sinnyi, khai yeap and wan yoe as well. haha.. What a ’small world’.

And last reason I was there is to babysit my nieces. haha.. The parents were not around and had to take care/entertain them so that they won’t feel bored/lonely.

That’s it for a short summary for my trip. Will be leaving for Alor Setar in less than 2 hours. Then, to Langkawi! =D

Streamyx is damn slow!!

I can’t even open my own blog site properly. Can’t even post anything. (Luckily tonight’s better)..
Tried so hard last few days to upload pictures. Keep failing and failing. Sometimes, the dialog box can’t even display properly.. arghh..
I’ve to click refresh over and over again. *sigh*

Anyway, I’ll be MIA for a bit in the couple of weeks. Have a ‘tight’ travel schedule.. Lol.. Will probably post it here when I have the free time. For now, I’ll have to continue packing for a short trip to KL from tomorrow until Saturday.

Just came back from a short yumcha session in Parade with Jit-Vern, Chin Zwen and Jin Ann.

My 3-yr old Koss KSC75 has come to an end.
Served me very well for the past 3 years. Very good acoustics and comfortable to the ears.
Alas, I’ve no idea how this happened, but it has suffered a severe injury and needs to be replaced.

So, I’ve bought a new pair of earphones!

Sonic Gear’s Ear Pump for RM45. It’s a Hi-Fidelity Noise Isolation ear plug. A much cheaper alternative until I have enough disposable cash and get a better piece. Maybe the Sennheiser CX series?

It produces good sound with decent clarity and good deep bass; well, not as good as the KSC-75 but it’s decent for that price. the KSC-75 feels more ‘wholesome’. Probably needs some burn-in. Can be downloaded from edifier’s website

The package comes with a traveling pouch.

Think it’s needed for protection as the end is the straight kind. It’s not as durable as the L-shaped type.

Hopefully the earphones will improve with prolonged usage… and hope it won’t die so soon too… =/
Not too confident with Sonic Gear’s brand but will see how it goes.

Results just came out not more than an hour ago.

It turns out to be pretty good! Better than expected. I was probably being quite a pessimist before that..

But in short, I can now safely graduate from NTU and start my life as an working adult mid of July.

Hope all goes well then..

Have been delaying to write my final ‘voyage’ in Indonesia for some time now… Been quite lazy lately.. My daily routine is sleeping, eating, onlining, sleeping, eating, watching tv, onlining…

Anyway, my last day in Jakarta started off with a nice brunch at Shangri-la Hotel. Again, followed my sister there. She had an appointment with her McKinsey consultant friend. Quite a nice guy, I would say.

We were late for church as the meet-up ended quite late.. When we reached there, the church was overflowing with people! It’s like the amount of people in my church during Christmas day… But never take any pictures of that cause it seems inappropriate to me. But I took picture of the church though

We were only at the church for less than 30min and the mass is over. We went straight to Mangga Dua right after that. That huge flea market that sells all sorts of things. Clothes, bags, electronics…

There were sooo many people. We didn’t stay for long as we need to rush for grace’s friend’s birthday party. Miss Indonesia of Education was there! But I didn’t get a picture of her. She left quite early. Anyway, I was there as an observer and also their photographer.. haha..

Went back to the apartment after that’s done and had some online discussion with yi wang. My sister was enjoying American Idol’s marathon in the living room.. haha.. We waited until 8pm Msia time and we went to the gym! haha.. I went in as a ‘try out’. I would say, the best thing there is there is the shower! haha… Their rainshower. The facilities there are sufficient enough for a small group of members. But according to grace, they dun have much members. So, not many people to ‘compete’ the equipments with. hehe

Her friend, Benny, then took us to Ranch House for dinner. It’s a very interesting concept they have there. I didn’t bring my camera out as I thought there won’t be place to safe keep my camera in the gym.=(
It uses a supermarket concept where like in a supermarket, you pick fresh meat/ seafood to buy home. But instead of bringing it back home, they cook it for you on the spot! And the price is pretty reasonable. For example, a sirloin steak is about RM20++. Cheapest I think is beef patty. Quite a hugh chunk for ~RM5. Pretty okay for Jakarta’s rate cause eating in Jakarta is damn expensive.

Anyway, there’s that for my trip to Jakarta, Indonesia. My flight is early morning the next day. Has been a wonderful and enjoying trip. Have to thank my sis and bro for bringing me around despite still having to work. hehe
