I’m returning for SG tomorrow and once I think about work… *sigh* Really no eyes see..
Maybe I’ll just tell them “I’m on leave! Everything will just need to come to a halt!”
There’s no covering officer cause they’re on leave too! Things will only return as usual when I’m back in office!
There are a few activities lined up to be done next week.. and the worse thing is, I”m on course for the whole of next week… So, should I just ask them “We’ll just have to wait for one more week cause nobody’s doing my job..” =/

I guess I’m getting accustomed to work… It’s been half a year already since I started working. Wow.. How time flies..
I think what helped me to get accustomed is this believe – many things are out of our control. We only have this much capacity to do something.
To bring less stress to an already stressful job, I’m trying my best not to bring work back to the house cause.. well, you can never finish your work. Of course, with a few exception that it’s very urgent and need to be completed there and then!
In order to sleep soundly,I jot down all the things that I need to do for the next few days and let the ‘book’ worry about it. I’m even keeping two organizers – 1 for everyday tasks, 1 for notes from meetings.
I’m also getting immune to the constant buzzing from my hand phone indicating a new e-mail has arrived.
Hope I don’t speak too soon… As any moment in time, things may just happen. Worse thing is, many things happen at the same time. Oh well, at least I’m not working for long hours… *Cross fingers*

I can’t believe it’s the last day of 2009… How fast time flies this year around… And since it’s the last day of the year, I shall make it a habit to reminisce what I’ve done/achieved over the past one year. Well, I did that for 2008 and I think it’s quite good.. Good summary for my own pleasure reading next time.. Did a lot of travelling in the period between end-of-examination and starting-work
- Completed my Electrical & Electronics Engineering Degree in NTU with a 2nd Class Upper Honours
- Went to Alor Setar and Langkawi for the first time
- Went to Phuket for the first time with my family
- Went to Jakarta and Bandung for the first time with family
- Went backpacking in 2 countries for 18 days – Cambodia & Vietnam (which I still have not blogged about yet and lots of experience gained there)
- Started work in SingTel in the Mobile VAS Planning Department (with many havoc days)
- Celebrated my 2-year anniversary with my darling girlfriend
- Shifted to a new ‘base’ in Hougang, Singapore
- Bought my very own desktop with my own money
- Built an Ipoh-community right here in Singapore with many get-together and gatherings and crazy fun times
The list is not as extensive as the previous year but can’t really think what else is there. Cause if to go into the details, have to really crack my brain and list them all out. Anyway, even in the Ipoh house, there’s so many changes… There’s a new bed-room, new 42” LCD TV, new hi-fi…. A lot of new things.
On the work-related wise, I’ve been immersed with work ever since I’ve started work and hope that 2010 will be a better year after getting more used to the environment and surroundings. Will probably make some new year resolution for me to meet later on…

With more people on leave, it’s harder to get things done. It’s harder to arrange for meetings cause most of the people are not around. Now, I have also two critical projects to handle with a lot of follow up for the next few months.
Just two more weeekss… and it’s Christmas… And come January, the cycle continues. *sigh*
Need to prep myself for to think positively. To remain calm and steady…

It’s been very long since I last update this blog cause didn’t really have time to do it… and now, I have some time to write something.. I don’t know what to write on. I’m losing my touch in writing blog posts… Maybe shall go back to the old’ boring stuff, ie, to pen down ‘raw’ information from my thoughts.
FIrst off, it’s December now.. The month of Christmas! The time of shopping and ‘relaxation’.. Well, that’s because over the last 23 years, it was always a holiday for me. First time in my life that I’ve to work in December. Many people are on holidays but not me… I’m only going back to Malaysia on Christmas eve; flying to KL in the afternoon.. Thank God all is not lost in this year’s Christmas month. Will be having a mini-Xmas Celebration cum Ian’s Birthday. Too bad they’ve decided to have it a closed party… Can’t invite my own friends over for such ‘joyous’ occasion. Perhaps will have a separate one with them.
I remember over the last years, I begin listening to Christmas songs even in the early days of November. I’m only really starting listening to it now. Yvonne came over yesterday and that kind of triggered me to listen to that genre now. Found this new ‘band’ or acapella group on the web – Straight No Chaser. A very creative way of singing Xmas songs. They can mix/mash songs up and yet, it’s still nice. Shall put one of their youtube videos here.
Oh, lately I’ve been watching a lot of Friends on youtube also. Those best clips from different seasons… No idea why…
Anyway, can’t wait for YIn Sin to finish her papers. Then she can go out with me to do some ‘serious’ Christmas shopping. Haven’t really go to Orchard Road yet to sink in to the atmosphere. Oh, and one more thing. I’ve finally able to see an actual Christmas Tree! There’s one in my office… I didn’t know it was an actual tree until it emits some weird smell and I realized the fact that it came from the tree. haha
Shall see how December goes this year. This is just the start of the month and things aren’t looking very well (work-related sense cause a lot of issues need to attend to), but will see how it’ll go.
